UmmPixies(pronounced oom – pixies) comes from the Arabic tradition of naming parents Umm-(mother) or Abu- (father) with the name of their first child.

Our eldest had very pointy ears as a baby hence the nickname Pixie for them and UmmPixie for Paula.

Paula's love of bright colour was spotted early when aged 3 she was stunned into silence and stillness (both still rare events) by Matisse's The Snail.

Always keen on adventure she spent a decade travelling the world as an archaeologist. Another decade was spent as an event & project manager before returning to creating... new decade beginning so watch this space
