Picking the perfect gift ... for some people it's a cinch for others it can be anguish.
How do you find the right gift every time?
Over the years I've come up with some quick tricks to help me find the right gift and I'm sharing them with you here:
First, and most importantly, remember that you are buying the gift for them not for yourself. It doesn't necessarily have to be to your taste/style, although of course it is a nice bonus if it is possible to find something that fits with both your and their style and values.
Second, if you can make it useful - something they will either continue to enjoy using over time or will enjoy consuming
Third, consider what delights and lifts your recipients spirits? A gift works best when it is something that the recipient wouldn't usually get for themselves so perhaps your gift could be a little more luxurious? a little more indulgent? a little bit silly?
Finally, is there something that only you would know to give them? perhaps you have a shared joke? or hobby? or passion? or an insight into what they would really appreciate related to part of their life that you know about?
